Mission at IPC

Opportunities for Mission with IPC:

  • Habitat Walk/Run/Mosey
Together we will raise more money for Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity than we ever could alone! Want to help? Support by making a donation to our team. The process is fast, easy, and secure… and you can be sure that it will benefit a great cause… affordable homeownership. So, let’s build this house together.  …
  • Shoe Collection
SHOE COLLECTION Let’s work together! We are collecting shoes alongside other churches in the Presbytery of the Western Reserve to help people abroad and to help two local charities. We are collecting shoes through the end of July and there are two DRIVE THROUGH and DONATE dates. Simply collect shoes and bring them to Independence …

The Mission Committee at IPC strives to identify and promote ideas for compassion through the church to the least among us, those in need. This will be accomplished through prayer, service projects, worship and collections.
We believe in thoughtful actions and the power of lasting relationships to transform the world around us, together. We partner with Love, INC locally in Cuyahoga County and we also donate to national and international causes. Other groups that we have helped include Lend-A-Hand, Serving Area Military, Habitat for Humanity, Ronald McDonald House, Rise Against Hunger, Brigid’s Path, Convoy of Hope, LifeAct and many others. We enjoy mission activities as well as providing financial support and we also warm up northern Ohio during those cold winter months with the darling hat and mitten sets (and blankets!) made by our prolific knitting group.
We meet with other Mission teams in the Presbytery for our semi-annual Cooperative Mission Meetings, a forum for ideas and best practices. Please feel free to join us — anytime — as we try to spread God’s light throughout the world, one thoughtful action at a time.
